Parkland Prairie Reservoirs

Reservoirs in the Parkland Prairie hold some very large pike and this is a great time of year to find "The Water Wolf" lurking in the shallows in search of an easy meal.

Bust out the 8 or 9wt rods & reels, some large flies and steel leaders, no boat required and head out. Badger, Keho, Kitsum or even Crawling Valley Reservoirs are great places to start just to name a few. Fish the drop offs and weed beds and wait until dusk and watch some of the "Bigun's" move into the shallows and try your hand at throwing some top water flies.

Reports have been flocking in about how well the lakes have been fishing. With ample amounts of people fishing these areas right now it'd be a wise decision bringing a variety of streamers in different sizes and colors. With a week of nice weather ahead of us, we should see the lakes produce more good fish.
