Purple Haze
Not only is the Purple Haze an awesome general attractor pattern, but the versatility of this fly for even the most particular fish is what really makes it special. On slower days where not much is happening on the water, this bug can really make a day go from zero to hero. Essentially tied similar to a Parachute Adams, this fly was created by Andy Carlson in the early 2000’s and has been one of his signature patterns for years. Fished best during low light conditions, but also gives you the ability to have some amazing days under the sun. In this video, we’ll also go through the various materials used to tie this upcoming classic.
