Pheasant Tail
The Pheasant Tail, originally conceived and tied by Frank Sawyer MBE, an English River Keeper on the Hampshire Avon in 1958, the Pheasant Tail Nymph is one of the oldest modern nymphs. Nowadays this pattern is tried and tested and should be in every fly angler's fly box from the start to the end of the season. Trout-whitefish and everything in between have eaten it. This nymph is like Frank's Red Hot Sauce, you can use it on everything!
