Scott GT Fly Rod
Nearly 50 years in the making. Worth every one of them.
No other rod series carries the legacy of the Scott G Series — rods filled with firsts, fished on every continent, and passed down through generations of anglers who know the difference between a good rod and a great one. The Scott GT is the next chapter of that story.
Lighter and sportier than its predecessors, the GT retains everything that made the G Series legendary: smooth progressive action, extraordinary feedback, and tippet protection that inspires confidence when it matters most. What’s new is everything underneath.
Built Different. Feels Different.
GT rods are the first Scott series to feature the newest iteration of X-Core design — producing the thinnest-walled blanks Scott has ever made. New multi-modulus layups combined with ARC2 multi-directional fibers increase recovery speed and line speed, delivering greater stability and pinpoint accuracy.
Scott also redesigned their signature hollow internal ferrule, now up to 20% lighter and flexing in closer harmony with the blank than ever before. The result: 4- and 5-piece rods that transmit feel so seamlessly, you’ll forget the ferrules are there. The most subtle take, the faintest tick — you’ll feel it.
Craftsmanship You Can See
The GT isn’t just engineered — it’s crafted. Every rod features:
- Milled aluminum reel seat with Type 3 hard coat anodizing
- Cocobolo wood inserts
- Flor grade cork grip
- Titanium-framed Zirconia no-tangle stripping guides
- Snake Brand Universal snake guides
- Measuring wraps and alignment dots
Each GT rod is handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado, hand inscribed, and given its own individual serial number. This is a rod built to be fished hard, kept for decades, and eventually handed down.
