The Fitz Roy Trout Hoody is what happens when Patagonia's Regulator® fleece technology gets a crosslayer upgrade — warm and stretchy like the fleece you already love, but with a smooth outer face that sheds moisture, resists abrasion, and doesn't bail on you when the weather turns sideways. The 90% recycled polyester/10% spandex double-weave is soft against the skin, breathable enough for high-output days, and finished with a PFAS-free DWR that handles light rain and spray without hesitation. It's the layer that works equally well under a shell on a wet morning or on its own when the sun finally shows up.

The slim athletic fit and articulated arms are built for casting without restriction, and the adjustable hood fits over a cap while keeping wind, rain, and cold where they belong — outside. Handwarmer pockets sit high for compatibility with hip packs, wading belts, and backpack hip belts, and the hem cinches down via a cord-lock system that doesn't require removing your gloves to operate.
