Spring Creek School

Long time shop owner, fishing guide, well known author, musician and instructor Jim McLennan along with equally accomplished better half Lynda McLennan, are teaching their very popular Spring Creek Workshop for the second year. Enjoy a full day of instruction that will help you unravel the mysteries of the spring creek. The day will be dedicated to solving these small technical trout streams, an emphasis will be placed on gear selection and setup, casting, flies, stalking and approach. In addition, you will gain the understanding of the dynamics of these streams, hatches and their fish. These streams demand a certain degree of precision, patience and this experience and will help any student improve their angling skills. A surreal experience.

Nestled on the east slope of the foothills of the Rockies, the classroom is a clear tranquil brown trout stream, a short 45 kms from Calgary. This will challenge even the most experienced angler and refine his or her skills.
