2024 Beginner Fly Tying School
This class is intended to introduce newcomers to the basic skills of tying and give them the confidence to tie flies on their own. The class starts with the basics, understanding of the use of tools, hooks, proportions, quality material selection, and components of a fly. It also gives you the understanding of a natural fly's life cycle and how to imitate these stages through tying techniques.
All flies that are tied are trout patterns that will be effective on our western trout streams and lakes.
Tool and material kits specific for the class will be available at the shop for purchase. With purchase of Fly Tying School a 10% discount will be given on all kits, materials and fly tying tools for the duration of the class.
School Dates 2024
5 consecutive Tuesday or Wednesday weeks starting January 23 or 24

$175 plus tax
The classes are limited to 6 students
Terms and Conditions
Schools require full payment at the time of booking. In order to make this as stress free as possible and fair to all involved, Iron Bow allows cancelations up to 30 Days in advance of the scheduled class with a full refund, less $25.00 for administration fee. If you cancel in the last week or fail to show, you forfeit the class amount. Receipt of payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses.
